i see you weekend.

yay, the weekend is here! yesterday was my husband’s birthday, and there is nothing more disappointing than realizing your birthday is over and it will be a whole year before your next one! so, to prevent that from happening, we like to extend our birthday celebrations, therefore we will continue to celebrate over the weekend.

as far as projects are concerned, i took a furniture painting class on monday, and can’t wait to show you the furniture i painted & distressed this week. to look for monday: a newly painted dresser, headboard, and nightstand. i am really excited about the results!

annnd before i go, this is a reminder: today is your LAST CHANCE to enter the fall giveaway, aka your opportunity to receive a free yummy apple cider candle!

i will leave you with this image for some inspiration:

yellow curtains-john lyle

i LOVE the way they did a black & white color scheme, with some bright yellow for bold-factor. so fun!

enjoy your weekend! :)

These are the colors I’m using when we move in December! They are my fav!! Black, white and a splash of yellow! mmmm hmmm! love it!

  2. A furniture painting class-that sounds like FUN! Where are they offered?

  3. kelly, it was so fun! i took it at this cute little furniture store called eclectic garden in raleigh. i think it was their last class until 2010, but i would def recommend doing it! check out their website, http://www.eclecticfurnituregarden.com/blog/ and you could call and see when their next class is. i learned a lot and have since painted everything in sight! i am sure there might be one somewhere here in chapel hill, too. if i hear of anything i’ll let you know!
